A small number of us meet every three weeks for two hours in my house. We spend the first part discussing a wide range of topics, ranging from serious current affairs to holidays and funny stories. For the second part we read and then translate a French article. The afternoon finishes with tea and biscuits and a chat.

The aim of this Group is to encourage everyone to speak, and we all help one another. It is a friendly an informal group that is currently full, but places do occasionally become available.

This is a complementary Group that has only been running since November 2006. We meet on the first Monday of every month for two hours in my house. Our aim is to speak in French (even during the tea interval!). Our discussions are wide ranging, and during the afternoon we watch either live French television or recorded French news for about fifteen minutes.
