The French conversation group consists of people who like to keep their French up by having a chat with like-minded people who speak the language fairly fluently. We talk about anything that is of interest. There is no homework or preparation, unless you want to, and we help each other out when we are lost for (French) words.

We don’t worry about grammar, as communication is what it’s all about.

We meet on a Tuesday every fortnight in the café of the Open Learning Centre from 14.00 until 15.00 hrs and the meetings are free.

Even if you don’t think your French is good enough, please come and try us out. You may be surprised at what you know. Even if you don’t want to talk very much, you’ll find that listening to others improves your French and helps you to speak the language better.
