Out and About



Out and about is a popular group, and event attendance has been good considering the number of members who belong to several groups.

The aim is to put on different events to cater for different tastes and to vary the dates and days of the week so that even if we can't make some events, there will hopefully be at least two per year that members can attend.

We have some very successful events so far and it really doesn't matter if two or 22 members attend as long as it is enjoyed by those attending.  It is not possible to please everyone all of the time.  We normally aim for one event per month and not too far away.

We like group members to get involved with suggestions on where to go as without this we won't know what you like to do.

Houses of Parliament
Painshill Park at Cobham
Afternoon Tea at Brown's in Windsor
Runnymede Boat Trip to Hampton Court
Imperial War Museum, London
Sleeping Beauty Pantomime at South Hill Park
Milestone Christmas Market, Basingstoke

So far this year 2024 we had 35 members enjoying a lunch at The Warren, Wokingham, a belated Christmas event.

At the moment we have 74 members, but always welcome new members to bring fresh ideas into our group.

We hold planning meetings every three months and our next meeting is on Wednesday 7th February 2024  10.30 - 12 noon at the Bracknell Rugby Club, in the bar upstairs.
