We are eight people with philatelic interests ranging from stamps of Iceland, Sweden, Denmark France, Germany, Switzerland, Iraq and pre-1975 Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, to Stained Glass Windows and British Christmas First Day Covers. Most of our Group started collecting stamps in childhood, then neglected them for years and only recently returned..

We meet either monthly or bi-monthly and our activities include "soaking off" (stamps), looking at items of special interest, how to reveal watermarks, sales and "swaps". From time to time, we share the, often unhappy, experience of having items of our collections valued!

We all enjoy the experience and have been motivated to get to grips with our collections, which some of us had neglected over the years. This hobby, which is rarely appreciated by outsiders, is a fascinating lead-in to many other interests and insights.
