Thames Valley Network Arts & Crafts event - August 2011

This event was held at Berkshire College of Agriculture in Burchetts Green. This was a beautiful venue for this very well organised and well run event. There were several Arts & Crafts to try out for an hour at a time, including painting, scrapbooks, card making, quilting, beading, jewellery making to name just a few. It didn’t seem to matter what craft was chosen, and whether you were trying something out for the very first time; it was all such good fun. The exhibits were good too. The standard of some of the craft work was exceptional. Many of the exhibitors were from U3as in the TVN; what a clever and creative lot of people are members. 12 of us went from Bracknell U3a. 3 just to view the exhibits and the rest of us to ‘have a go’. A very worthwhile day and I hope something similar can be held again.
